ADAMS
COUNTY REAL ESTATE is located in Council, Idaho which is in
the west central part of the state. Council is a small, rural
city with scenic, quiet
surroundings. The mountain-rimmed valley is accessed
on Highway 95, the major north-south artery of Idaho.
We
are located approximately 45 miles southwest of the resort
community of McCall which surrounds beautiful Payette lake. McCall
has a bustling airport which supports both business and private
planes. Our
area has basic services and more.
There
are medical services, a good airport, museum, and several opportunities
for outdoor recreation, such as hunting, hiking, and nearby
skiing, and snowmobiling. Several creeks, rivers
and a few lakes offer a variety of good fishing opportunities.
A
non-motorized Weiser River Trail has access from several points
around Council and stretches for 80 miles from New Meadow north,
to Weiser at the south end. Formerly a railroad, the trail
is used by hikers, bicyclists, skiers and horseback riders.
Council
originated in 1878 and has had a ranching, mining, and
logging base. Today it is a nice community for all
ages and a number of retired people looking for peace and quiet
have built their dream homes in the outlying foothills.
We
offer Central Idaho real estate as well as real estate in the
neighboring communities of Fruitvale and Glendale to the
north, Bear and
Cuprum to the northwest, and Mesa, Indian Valley, and Cambridge
to the south. Council is also the county seat of Adams
County with related services and facilities.
